Why "Crayon Box"? Why We Chose a Different Path for North Delhi.

A box of crayons is never monochrome. Each crayon has its own distinct shade, purpose, and potential to illuminate a canvas.

When Crayon Box School was conceived, traditional schools in Delhi were dominated by rote learning, high-stakes testing from age four, and oversized classrooms where quiet children slipped unnoticed into the background.

We asked a foundational question: What if school was a place children ran into with joy every morning, rather than dread? What if foundational mathematics was learned through abacus games and outdoor measurements, science through touch-and-feel soil experiments in our 3-acre gardens, and languages through theater and storytelling?

Starting with early-childhood excellence and organically expanding to a robust K–8 institution on our 3-acre green campus in Burari, Crayon Box School continues to honor childhood while laying rigorous academic groundwork for future K–12 horizons.
